Elizabeth’s bronze scultures are built from the paper sculptures that she often uses as maquettes. The flexibility of the paper forms provide for rich textural surfaces and dynamic movement in the artworks which in itself creates a human-like, life-enhancing aspect to the finished pieces.

The fluidity and movement of the finished artworks is also enhanced by the painstaking process and attention to detail which includes a very close working relationship with the bronze foundry that casts the sculptures for Elizabeth. The foundry actively develops the moulds and finished forms alongside Elizabeth, including the patination where both the foundrymen and Elizabeth will spend several hours working side by side to ensure a finished surface that has real depth to it and which creates the energising magic that resides within each of her works.
